POETIC RESIGNATION
Humorous Employee Resignation
The name is good, the brand is big
But the work I do is that of a pig
The work or the brand; what is my way?
I don't know if I should stay.
To work, they have set their own way
Nobody will care to hear what I say
My will be NULL, they wont change their way
I don't know if I should stay.
The project is in a critical stage
But to do good work, this is the age
This dilemma is killing me day by day
I don't know if I should stay.
The money is good, the place is great
But the development is at a very small rate
Should I go for the work, or wait for pay
I don't know if I should stay!
The managers don't know what they talk
The team doesn't know where they walk
That's a bad situation, what say?
I don't know if I should stay.
I can go to any other place
But what if I get the same disgrace
I can't keep switching day by day
I don't know if I should stay.
The -ves are more, the +ves are less
Then why have this unnecessary mess
No more will I walk their way,

Skyscraper Creates All Its Own Energy
This skyscraper, to be built in Dubai, is called the Burj al-Taqa (’Energy Tower’), and it will produce 100% of its own power. The tower will have a huge (197 foot diameter) wind turbine on its roof, and arrays of solar cells that will total 161,459 square feet in size. Additional energy is provided by an island of solar panels, which drifts in the sea within viewing distance of the tower.
Burj al-Taqa’s cylindrical shape is designed to expose as little surface area to the sun as possible. A protective solar shield reaches from the ground to the roof, covering 60 degrees of the giant circular building. It protects the side most affected from the sun’s glaring rays, making sure that none of the rooms are exposed to direct sunlight. The diffuse light on the other sides of the building is tempered by a mineral coating on the windows.

The new top-quality windows are meant to largely shield the interior of the tower from outside heat — indispensable in a region where outside temperatures can reach 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit) in the summer.
This is made possible by a new breakthrough in the quality of the materials used: The new vacuum glazing windows transmit as much as two thirds less heat compared to today’s products. The architects chose an ancient Persian architectural feature as their model. Hundreds of years ago, wealthy merchants erected wind towers on the roofs of their houses, an idea which was eventually exported to the Arab world.
The buildings, which have now become tourist attractions, have a natural air conditioning system. Lateral openings in the towers suck in cool air like a chimney.
The heavier cool air sinks down and displaces the lighter hot air, creating a comfortable temperature inside the living space despite the scorching sun. Gerbers’s design is designed to function in a similar way:
The negative pressure created by winds breaking along the tower will suck the spent air from the rooms out of the building via air slits in the façade. The plan is for fresh air to be pumped into the interior of the building by means of a duct system at the same time. Seawater will be used to pre-cool the air.
Three large cooling units in the giant building’s cellar will eventually lower the temperature to a comfortable 18 degrees Celsius (64.4 degrees Fahrenheit). Transparent ducts will channel the fresh air into spacious atriums and from there into the corridors and offices. The building’s designers want to use high-quality steel ropes to suspend hanging gardens inside the air ducts, transforming a feature which is often regarded as an architectural blemish and hidden behind sheet metal in other buildings.
At the same time, the underground cooling center also cools the water in the pipelines running through the underside of each floor’s ceiling. The system of tubes is designed to be a modern air-conditioning system which cools gently without unpleasant air currents. The Burj al-Taqa seems like the most recent example of a trend that has been observable for some time. In large cities such as Chicago, New York or Paris, environmentally friendly skyscrapers are being built that win ecological awards and apparently herald a new green wave in the construction of tall buildings.

If the movie TITANIC was made in
1. There would be 10 times as many people on the ship.
2. The ship would sink from the weight of all the people who had boarded the ship without tickets.
3. There would be a song with Aishwarya rai in a white sari, standing at the bow of the ship and singing in the rain.
4. By the end of the movie the hero would have co-incidentally found his long last mom, dad, Sister, Twin brother and childhood friend.
5. It would be a seven and a half hour movie with three intervals
6. The movie would be called “Pyaar kiya to marna kya” pr PKTMK for short.
7. The hero, heroine, his mom, dad, sister and brother will float in the cold water for days and yet survive.
8. The villain will drown in the first drop of water.
9. The iceberg would have been sent by the heroine’s father to teach a lesson to the hero (Sharukh khan, naturally)
10. None of the females would float for long because of the saris but the heroine (Aishwarya, ofcourse) would have survived as she would have used her sari to make a big bandage for the Hero’s bleeding head.
11. The orchestra would have been playing a Qawaali song and the ship would only start to sink after the song ends…
12. Can you imagine how many times we would hear "BACHAOOOO!!! BACHAOOOOO!!!"?
11 Ways To Make This Your Best Year - 2008

1. Challenge yourself

6. Serve others

Let go of the little things you can't control. Don't take yourself so seriously. Recognize that perfection isn't always the only option. Don't let life's imperfections bother you. 8. Live with integrity

Acts of kindness cost nothing but mean everything.
10. Celebrate success
Be proud of your achievements. Take time to recognize yourself and others for even the small successes. But also be humble and dignified, sensitive to people who are not as fortunate as you.
11. Exude a positive attitude
I cannot express enough the importance of having a positive attitude and believing in yourself. Yes, you can be well intentioned, you can be determined, but without a positive attitude about yourself and about life, you will not succeed. Dreams will die, goals will fade, and gloom and darkness will replace clear blue skies and sunshine in your mind and heart.
Remember people will sometimes forget what you say to them or do for them, but they will never forget how you made them feel in their hearts. Make yourself a commitment for this year not only to have the best year ever, but to help others that you care about accomplish this goal as well.

0.7 inch thick notebook from Intel debuts

Portability is part and parcel of any good notebook. Manufacturers had tried over the years to reduce the weight, thickness and size of notebooks just to make it more portable. Intel has come up with their latest wonder and it promises the thinnest notebook the world has ever seen. It is just 0.7 inches thick and weighs 2.25 pounds. It is much thinner than some of the mobiles and PDAs in the market. Although this is just a prototype, there are speculations going on that it might enter the production stage soon this year. Once it is marketed, this notebook will pose a serious threat to other notebook manufacturers like Dell and HP.
